Admission Scheduling
Admission and scheduling in the GCRC are guided by the GCRC policies Hours of Service and Reservation Guideline for Admission of Research Subjects, and Admission, Nursing, Dietary and Physician Care Procedures. You are encouraged to read these documents to make sure requests for admission are within stated deadlines.
All requests for admission of a subject to the GCRC and for reservations will be treated on a first come first served basis, except where bumping may occur due to the higher priority of another study. The standard nursing hours are 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday, however, if needed the GCRC may be open as late as 7pm Monday through Friday. Standard nutrition service hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, however, to accommodate research subjects who need to pick up or consume research meals before or after standard hours, the metabolic kitchen will be open from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Requests for weekend admissions will be considered depending upon the availability of resources.
